Steps:

  1. Adopt the Simulation Mindset: Choose a routine activity—walking the dog, grocery shopping, or any task where you interact with your environment. Begin by mentally accepting the idea that everything around you is part of a simulation. Visualize the scene as though you are in a video game or holodeck.
  2. Observe Without Reacting: As you move through your environment, focus on observing details: colors, movements, and sounds. Refrain from reacting emotionally or mentally to what you see. Instead, maintain a neutral and curious perspective.
  3. Break the Autopilot Cycle: Pay attention to your own actions as if they are part of the simulation’s programming. For example, observe the sequence of unlocking a door or navigating through a store. Acknowledge how often you perform these tasks without awareness and shift to experiencing them fully.
